At Mayco, we offer many different product lines, each with unique performance properties. To assist new users in selecting an appropriate product, we have provided this overview. We also have many specialty glazes that can be used in combination with the following products to add visual interest and design.

Classic Crackles©
  • Creates a textured “cobbled” surface when fired
  • The underlying glaze will appear in the cracks

Cobblestone
  • Clay based and heavily pigmented
  • Metal writer tip allows for ultimate control to draw ultra-fine lines, typography and intricate illustrations
  • Fires matte without clear glaze

Designer Liner
  • Inspired by aspects of nature to simulate the look of mid-range glazes but in a low fire firing
  • Use for all over coverage or in design
  • Palette features gloss and matte finishes

  • Underglazes
  • Intense pigment and high definition
  • Watercolor or detailed shading
EZ Stroke®
  • Developed to be used in combination with other mid-range glazes to produce flowing effects
  • Creates movement, bringing about “hidden” colors and visual texture
  • Fires from cone 5/6-10
Flux
  • Available in gloss (opaque), translucent (sheer) or matte finishes
  • Use for all over coverage or in design
  • Intermixable for custom colors

Foundations®
  • Dimensional glazes that won’t flatten when fired to cone 06
  • Use the squeeze bottle with a writer tip to create raised designs directly on bisque or over and under non-moving glazes
French Dimensions™
  • Use for all over coverage or design work

Fundamentals® Underglaze
  • Contains small pieces of glass that melt during the kiln fire, leaving a fun splash of color

Jungle Gems™ Crystal Glazes
  • Clear glaze forms an impervious barrier that protects against liquids, dirt and abrasion
  • Mayco offers three clear dipping and brushing glazes: NT-BR, S-2101, C-300

Low Fire Clear Glaze- Brushing
  • Clear glaze forms an impervious barrier that protects against liquids, dirt and abrasion
  • Mayco offers two clear dipping and brushing glazes: NT-CLR and S-2000

Low Fire Clear Glaze- Dipping
  • Moving, flowing glazes, commonly used under or over other glazes to create reactions and movement
  • Simulate effects of higher fire glazes at low fire

Pottery Cascades

Raku
