Instructions

  1. Begin with properly fired cone 04 stoneware bisque. Moisten a sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
  2. Switch out your Stroke and Cat caps for Plastic Detailer Caps.
  3. Apply 1 row of a grid pattern around the rim using SC-99 Char-ming.
  4. Add SC-74 Hot Tamale dots inside the squares.
  5. Allow to dry and repeat.
  6. Apply 3 coats of SW-131 Birch to the rest of the piece with RB-104 #4 Soft Fan, avoiding the foot.
  7. Use a damp sponge to wipe away any glaze that may have gotten on the foot.
  8. Apply 2-3 coats of SW-128 Cordovan to the rim of the bowl with CB-106 #6 Script Liner.
  9. Fire to cone 5/6. Sample piece was fired to cone 6.
