Speckled Cottontail and Dark Brown Engobe Dot Mug

Instructions

Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
Apply 3 coats of EG004 Dark Brown Engobe to the bottom 2/3 of the mug and handle with a RB140 #8 Soft Fan Brush.
In the AC220 Detailer Bottle mix 2 parts Snowfall with 1 Part EG 002 Speckled Buff Engobe, creating a slip like consistency.
Once the Engobe/Snowfall mix is thick, apply random “dots” around the mug.
Let “dots” dry completely before step #6.
With a RB140 – #8 Soft Fan Brush apply 3 coats of SP216 Speckled Cotton Tail to the top 1/3 of the mug, handle and to the entire inside of the mug.
Using a RB140 #8 Soft Fan Brush, apply 3 coats of SW Peppered Plum to the middle of the mug, overlapping the Dark Brown Engobe by about 2″.
Wipe off excess glaze from the bottom of the piece.
Do not stilt.
Fire to cone 6.
