Nellie’s Dog Bowls

Nellie Bowl

1. Begin with soft fired stoneware bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust. 
2. Apply letter and shape stickers to the desired areas. 
3. Use the Soft Fan to apply 3 coats of SW-130 Copper Jade to the entire bowl. 
4. Remove the stickers.  
5. Use the Soft Fan to apply 1 coat SW-001 Clear to the bottom inside of the bowl and the outside of the bowl (below the rim). 
6. Use a clean sponge to wipe the excess glaze off the foot. 
7. Fire to cone 5/6. (Sample was fired to cone 6) 

Splatter Paw Print Bowl

1. Begin with soft fired stoneware bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust. 
2. Using the water-based marker or pencil draw pawprints around the outside of the bowl. 
3. Use the Script Liner to fill in the pawprints with 3 coats of the following colors: SW-502 Yellow Gloss, SW-503 Orange Gloss, SW-504 Red Gloss, and SW-510 Blue Gloss. Alternate the colors as you go around the bowl. 
4. Use the Soft Fan to apply 3 coats of SW-508 Black Gloss to the inside of the bowl. 
5. Use the Soft Fan to splatter SW-508 Black Gloss on the outside of the bowl. 
6. Use the Soft Fan to apply 1 coat of Clear on the outside of the bowl. 
7. Use a clean sponge to wipe the excess glaze off the foot. 
8. Fire to cone 5/6. (Sample was fired to cone 6)
