Magic Metallic & Acrylic Pumpkins

1. Begin with properly fired cone 04 bisque. Moisten a sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.

2. Using the Flat Shader with SS-138 Flat Black, apply 1 coat to the outside of the pumpkins (not the stems). Allow paint to dry.

3. Using the Flat Shader with MM-105 Gold Metallic, apply 1 coat to the outside of the pumpkins (not the stems). Allow paint to dry.

4. Pour out around 1 Tbsp of MM-202 Green Patina onto the plate.

5. Using the Flat Shader with MM-105 Gold Metallic, apply a second coat to one of the pumpkins. Do not let the paint dry. Dip the sponge into the MM-202 Green Patina and sponge all over the pumpkin. Repeat for the other two pumpkins.

6. Let pumpkins sit over night or until you have reached your desired level of patina (bluish green areas). If you don’t have enough patina, apply MM-105 Gold Metallic to the bare areas with the Flat Shader again. If you have too much patina, add more MM-105 Gold Metallic with the sponge.

7. Squeeze out around 1 tsp of MM-105 Gold Metallic onto the plate. Dip the sponge into the paint and lightly sponge over the texture on each pumpkin.

8. Using the Flat Shader with AC-502 Matte Brush on Sealer, apply 2 coats over each pumpkin. This will stop all oxidation.

9. Using the Round brush with UM951 Solid Gold, apply 2 coats to the stems. Allow paint to dry between coats.

10. Squeeze out around 1 tsp of UM951 Solid Gold onto the plate. Dip the sponge into the paint and sponge over the upper portions of the texture. Areas closest to the stem.

11. Allow paint to dry.

12. Do not fire.
