Instructions

  1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
  2. Apply 1 coat of SC083 Tip Taupe to the beard area of the Allow to dry! Using a damp sponge wipe back leaving the color in the deep crevices.
  3. Apply 1 coat of SC014 Java Bean to the hat. Allow to dry! Then Wipe back with a damp sponge leaving the color in the deep crevices. Allow to dry!
  4. Drybrush the beard with 2 coats SC016 Cotton Tail leaving the Tip Taupe show through.
  5. Apply 1 thinned coat of SC092 Café Ole to the hat. Allow to dry! Drybrush the hat with 2 coats Camel Back to the coat of the gnome.
  6. Apply 3 coats of SW513 Brown Gloss to the inside of the planter. Allow to dry!
  7. Apply 1 coat of SW001 Stoneware Brushing Clear to the hat and to the beard. Allow to dry!
  8. Make sure to clean off any glaze on the foot of the piece.
  9. Place piece on a clean kiln washed kiln shelf. Do not stilt.
  10. Fire to cone 6 on medium speed
