Project Description:
Have beautiful flowers any time of year when you create these footed bowls out of Stroke & Coat.

Instructions: Project instructions below. Mayco encourages you to vary colors, patterns and techniques to create your own designs.


  1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 Bisque. Moisten a clean Sponge and wipe Bisque to remove any dust.
  2. Using the water color marker, draw large circles where you desire your flowers to be. Also draw on the leaves.
  3. Load the CB-404 #4 Pointed Round in SC-11 Blue Yonder for the blue flowers or SC-70 Pink-A-Dot for the pink flowers, and block in the flower areas.
  4. For the pink flower, load the CB-404 #4 Pointed Round in SC-70 Pink-A-Dot, and add some petals from the outside edge towards the center, then change to SC-17 Cheeky Pinky, and add more petals, then SC-4 Salsa, then SC-83 Tip Taupe.
  5. For the blue flower, load the CB-404 #4 Pointed Round in SC-11 Blue Yonder, and add some petals from the outside edge towards the center, then change to SC-31 The Blues, then SC-76 Cara-bein Blue, then SC-32 Bluebeard.
  6. Using the CB-404 #4 Pointed Round block in the leaves with 2 Coats of SC-78 Lime Light.
  7. Side load in SC-52 Toad-ily Green and shade the center vein area, and both edges on the leaves.
  8. Using the CB-110 #10/0 Liner loaded in SC-15 Tuxedo, outline and add center veins to the leaves. Allow to dry.
  9. Using the CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2 Coats of S-2101 Crystal Clear Brushing to the entire piece.
  10. Stilt and fire to shelf cone 06.
