Hooked on Chili Peppers

Instructions: Project instructions below. Mayco encourages you to vary colors, patterns and techniques to create your own designs.

1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 Bisque. Moisten a clean Sponge and wipe Bisque to remove any dust.
2. Cut out the chili pepper shapes.
3. Trace the pattern on the trivet with a pencil.
4. Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 1-2 Coats of SC-74 Hot Tamale to the chili peppers and 2 Coats of  SC-36 Irish Luck to the stems. Make sure to brush past the pencil lines.
5. Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, brush the back of the cut out paper chili shapes with SC-75 Orange-A-Peel highlights. Then brush the remainder of the chili pepper with SC-74 Hot Tamale and the stems with SC-26 Green Thumb.
6. Using tweezers, place the painted paper chili peppers over the chili peppers painted on the plaque. Press in place then remove the excess Glaze with a damp Sponge.
7. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply  3 Coats of SC-76 Cara-bein Blue on the plaque background. Brush SC-11 Blue Yonder over the SC-76 Cara-bein Blue leaving the darker blue showing next to the chili peppers. Brush the SC-11 Blue Yonder in the direction of the chili peppers. 
8. Remove the paper chili's when the shine leaves the last coat of Glaze.
9. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 3 Coats of SC-74 Hot Tamale to the knob, except the stem.
10. Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 2 Coats of SC-36 Irish Luck to the stem, highlighting it with SC-26 Green Thumb.
11. Fuse the knob to the trivet in the Firing.
12. Stilt the trivet with knob and fire to shelf cone 06.
13. Use screws and wall anchors to hang.
