Project Info

  1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque.  Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
  2. Evenly load a dry AC-213 Sponge on a Stick with ST-15 Tuxedo and apply to the ST-105 Dancing Heart Stamp.  For best results leave the stamp flat on the table and pounced the Sponge on a Stick up and down to only ink the high part of the stamp.
  3. Press the stamp onto the bisque, reapply the SC-15 Tuxedo to the stamp and continue until the dish is covered with the Dancing Heart Design.  Allow to dry until the shine is gone from the glaze.
  4. Using a RB-140 #8 Soft Fan, apply 2 even coats of FN-209 Floral Pink Sheer over the entire dish including the stamping.
  5. Using a RB-116 #6 Pound, apply 2 coats of SC-74 Hot Tamale to the egg holes. Allow to dry.
  6. Using the same brush, apply 2 coats of SC-15 Tuxedo to create the line and body of the Lady Bug. Also paint the round head at the top of the egg hole.
  7. With a RB-100 #0 Liner, create the little hearts on the wings of the lady bug and add the antennas.
  8. With the back end of the brush, dot the eyes on the head with SC-16 Cotton Tail, then dot the eye with SC-15 Tuxedo to create the pupil.
  9. Allow to dry.
  10. Note: Clear glaze is not necessary if completely covered with FN-209 Floral Pink Foundation Sheer.
  11. Stilt and fire to shelf cone 05/06.
