Project Info




  1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque.  Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
  2. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2 coats of SC-73 Candy Apple Red to the breast of the owl.
  3. Cut the scrapbook paper to fit, i.e., snipping to fit the curve of his chest.  Cut out a space to insert a solid heart punch next to the space of his heart.  If the scrapbooking paper is not available, just punch out different sizes of hearts and arrange them on the chest in different directions.
  4. Apply a third coat of the Candy Apple Red and while the glaze is wet, apply the paper cut outs to the wet glaze, make sure all the paper is set well and any gaps in the edges are removed.
  5. Use a damp sponge to gently remove the excess glaze around the paper. It is not necessary to remove all of the glaze.
  6. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2 coats of SC-70 Pink-A-Dot to the breast and body and head of the owl.
  7. Apply on a third coat of the Pink A Dot to all the previous spaces, except the breast apply 1 coat of SC-16 Cotton Tail.
  8. Remove the paper as soon as the glaze looses its shine.
  9. Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 3 coats of SC-74 Hot Tamale to the wings, and 3 coats of SC-16 Cotton Tail to the eyes.
  10. To decorate the eyes, cut out one of the medallions from the Royal Lace paper doily for each eye.  Apply a coat of water to the eye, lay on the paper medallion (center to the pupil).  Pat with a paper towel to remove excess water.
  11. Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 2 coats of SC-73 Candy Apple Red.  Remove the paper.
  12. Punch out small hearts, apply SC-16 Cotton Tail to the paper press the paper to the wings, wait a few minutes to let the glaze absorb into the wing, them remove the paper. Apply1 more coat of white to the small hearts.
  13. Using a CB-202 #2 Detail Liner, apply 2 coats of SC-17 Cheeky Pinky to the iris of the eyes.
  14. Using a CB-202 #2 Detail Liner, apply 2 coats of SC-15 Tuxedo to the beak, feet and pupils. Allow to dry.
  15. Clear Glaze with S-2101 Crystal Clear Brushing. Allow to dry.
  16. Stilt and fire to shelf cone 05/06.
