Retrospective by Crista Toler
July 12, 2014 will mark one year that I have been working with Mayco. Certainly during the past 12 months I have learned a great deal about the color side of the industry. But beyond that I have learned a lot about this amazing company which is comprised of people that are passionate, dedicated and incredibly talented.
Great for Professional Development or a Student Class Project
Looking for a convenient, fun way to access Professional Development? Mayco has created a new educational program for art educators - we call it "Workshop in a Box", which takes some of the work out developing content, gathering supplies, etc. Our Kit contains 1 project with supplies and products for 12 attendees. Instructions and patterns are included.
Elements and Elements Chunkies were developed to provide low fire artists with glazes that captured some of the aesthetics of mid range glazes. Predominantly an earth-toned palette, Elements develop variegated gloss/matte fired finishes.
In combination with other Elements, Crystal glazes and Pottery Cascades a ceramic artists can create stunning combinations.
With our updated website we have greatly expanded the use of inspirational galleries. These visual resources feature decorated sample, glaze combinations, artist's profiles and galleries of work submitted by people like yourselves.
We have 5 galleries that Mud Room readers may find particularly interesting . . .
